WAEC English Exam Scandal: A National Educational Crisis
This year, thousands of Nigerian students were forced to write their English Language WAEC exam at night, using candles, torchlights, and phone lights, all because the exam papers arrived extremely late nationwide.
Now, WAEC has released results showing that over 90% of these students FAILED English a core subject that determines access to higher education.
How can students perform well under such harsh and chaotic conditions?
We are calling on WAEC to: ✅ Investigate the delay and poor exam conditions.
✅ Review or remark the English papers.
✅ Consider a nationwide cancellation and resit if fairness was compromised.
✅ Communicate transparently with the public.
This is about justice, fairness, and the future of our children. We cannot be silent while a whole generation is being punished for a failure they did not cause.
