Sacked lady takes to TikTok to expose romantic affairs with married CEO, HR Director

Kenya’s real estate giant, AMKO Properties, is reeling from a serious scandal after a fired employee, Rose Wangui, took to social media to expose her romantic affairs with the top executives of the company, including the CEO.
Wangui, who used the TikTok handle @ka.wanjohi11, frankly stated that she rotated beds among the CEO, the HR Director, a respected voice on mental health and leadership ethics on LinkedIn, and another top executive, who is said to be a childhood friend of the CEO.
Rose Wangui explained why she slept with her bosses
Wangui said she did all that to ensure that she still had a desk by Monday morning, only to be shocked by a sack letter in August.
Wangui released screenshots, audio clips, private videos and detailed accounts of her alleged experiences at the company. She also posted hotel reservations, receipts and other documents showing her alleged liaisons with the identified men.
Amko’s claim of poor performance dismissed
The company in their sack letter said Wangui was sacked for poor performance and misconduct.
She, however, countered this in a video post where she showcased an appraisal document covering January to December 2024, where the volume of the business they brought into the company in the entire year was tabulated against their targets.
The document shows that she brought in KES 52 million (N584M) worth of business against the target of KES 62 million she was given.
The document showed that the closest person to her in the company’s sales department brought in KES 45m.
The sacked staff claims she was dismissed after refusing to continue intimate relationships with two top executives — the CEO and the Head of Human Resources — relationships she says were initially presented as a condition for keeping her job and progressing within the firm.
Predatory system
In a series of videos posted on her TikTok handle, Rose Wangui alleged that she was drawn into a sexual relationship with the CEO after what she described as “persistent pressure” masked as mentorship.
She further claims that she later became involved with the Head of HR, whom she accuses of using his influence in the hiring and appraisal process to manipulate her.
In one of the text exchanges she posted, Rose is addressed by name and appears to be discussing a meeting arrangement with a senior manager, which she says supports her claim of a coordinated pattern of exploitation within the company’s upper ranks.
Wangui alleges that the relationships were neither voluntary nor consensual in the true sense, arguing that the power imbalance made refusal difficult.
She claims she feared job loss, humiliation, and retaliation, especially after seeing what she described as similar situations involving other female employees.
Bosses go quiet
The bosses accused by Wangui are yet to react publicly. She, however, shared a screenshot where one of the bosses requested a meeting to discuss. She turned it down with “The ship has sailed”
He then asked her to stop dragging the company on social media, threatening that the lady would be required to show evidence of her allegations. She responded that she would love to share it in court.
The HR boss, who is a passionate preacher of mental health and ethical leadership on LinkedIn, has turned his profile private after the scandal broke out.
Reactions
The allegations have triggered heated reactions online, with many calling for a formal investigation.
Others have demanded a response from AMKO Properties, although the company has not issued any public statement at the time of publication.
Employment-rights advocates in Nairobi are urging regulators to step in, noting that if true, the claims point to serious breaches of workplace ethics, sexual-harassment laws, and corporate-governance standards.
The story continues to unfold online, with Wangui promising to release more evidence while stating she is considering legal action.
Human-rights groups have advised her to file an official complaint with Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) or the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC).
