Reno Omokri Provides “Evidence” Of Peter Obi’s Financial Recklessness In Anambra

Dear Peter Obi,

Thank you for your feedback regarding President Bola Tinubu’s decision to write off the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited’s debt, which is within his constitutional powers. Now, let us talk about you.

As Governor of Anambra, you, Peter Obi, refused to build even a single nursery, primary, secondary school, or university, or a standalone hospital.

The reason you refused to do this is because you were stashing Anambra State Government funds in a bank in which you had substantial shares and was its former Chairman of the Board.

You, Peter Obi, deposited a sum in excess of $45 million equivalent in this bank, which I will not name, due to a promise I made to the immediate past Chairman of the bank, in which you are perhaps the single biggest shareholder.

You, Peter Obi, deliberately refused to use that money to build projects in Anambra, which made you the only Governor in Anambra’s history since 1999 under whom poverty increased.

Please fact-check me: The poverty rate in Anambra was 41.4% in 2003, before you, Peter Obi, took office, and rose to 53.7% by 2009, during your governorship, a 29.7% increase.

And the reason you did not want the money to leave F******* was that those funds were earning interest for the bank, and a large proportion of that money was your own personal profit as a major shareholder and former Chairman.

The account number in which you deposited some of those funds into at F******* Bank is 5030047097.

In any other country, you, Peter Obi, would be in jail today for corruption. You enriched yourself, your business partners, and fellow shareholders by depositing Anambra State Government funds with F******* Bank at a time when over 77 communities in Anambra had no schools, and over 200 other homesteads had no clinics or hospitals.

Please fact-check me: That money invested in the S&P 500 (which is what most banks do with deposits) would have yielded about $10 million (US Dollars) profit annually. Much of that money would have ended up in Obi’s pocket.

No wonder Peter Obi boasted on Monday, September 5, 2022, that “I am richer than the American President.”

How won’t he boast when he was drunk on corruptly acquired wealth?

My name is Reno Omokri. If I am lying, I challenge you, Peter Obi, to sue me.

And those facts are why the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists indicted Peter Obi for fraudulent activities and sundry other criminal enterprises in the now infamous Pandora Papers.
