The police in Lagos have arrested Adenike Atanda, wife of Sodeeq Atanda, a senior reporter with the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ).
The police also arrested the nine-month old baby of the Atandas.
FIJ understands that Atanda’s wife and baby were arrested by men of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Owutu, Ikorodu area of Lagos, on Monday evening after tracking them to their neighbourhood.
Neither Adenike nor her nine-month-old baby is a journalist. As of the time of filing this report, FIJ has yet to ascertain their crime.
