Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has begun the construction of 55 new Primary Health Centers across the state in a bold move to strengthen healthcare delivery and bring medical services closer to rural communities.
The project, which cuts across all local government areas, is part of the administration’s commitment to revamping the health sector and ensuring accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for every Imo citizen.
“We have continued to ensure access to healthcare facilities by imolites, as we embark on another round of health center construction across the State. This move aligns with our resolve to ensure our people enjoy the good health they truly deserve.”
Recall that we previously renovated over 305 Primary Health Centers across the 305 political wards in the State, and through ISOPADEC, we extended this to additional localities to enhance accessibility.
With these 55 new Primary Health Centers now underway, we aim to bring healthcare services even closer to our people—and this, we will achieve.
