If you noticed the recent videos of ishowspeed around Africa you would be embarrassed by how our people acted. Nigerians were begging and expecting handouts which sends bad signals to any visitor. I have visited Kenya and they don’t beg foreigners, foreigners might give them something out of the goodness of their hearts but they don’t harass them.
I have lived in South Africa for years and you will never see them begging tourists or foreigners, even the poor ones act very proud when they see you are not one of them. Why do we always want to project ourselves in bad light infront of strangers even though we are the better Africans with more pride,global respect and hustling spirit. This is why we are even getting disrespected by small small African countries that should be begging to clean our houses for free .
Let us stop the beggy beggy culture, it makes us look weak to outsiders. You can’t be begging strangers in your own home. Look at what those weak South African footballers did when they were in Nigeria,giving out food from moving bus windows to humiliate us. Do you think they would take that if the Eagles did same to them? They would stone our players and accuse them of demeaning them. We need to change this behavior before it’s too late .
