Media personality Kolu has publicly appealed to fellow content creator Carter Efe for a ₦7 million loan to secure the release of controversial Nigerian singer Portable, following his recent arrest by the police. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Kolu made the appeal during a live stream on Twitch, where he openly asked Carter Efe to lend him the money to help bail the singer, who is currently facing allegations bordering on assault and other charges.

During the conversation, Carter Efe questioned Kolu’s strong concern for Portable’s situation. In response, Kolu explained that the singer played a major role in changing his life, stressing that Portable was responsible for bringing him to Lagos and giving him the platform that launched his rise to fame.
“Portable brought me to Lagos, I come blow. Na him help my life,” Kolu said during the livestream.
He further emphasized that he would not turn his back on someone who once uplifted him, regardless of the controversies surrounding the singer.
Kolu’s emotional appeal sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians debating loyalty, gratitude, and accountability.
