Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has sparked widespread reactions on social media after making a surprising confession about her relationship status during the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2026.

The actress’ revelation came after BBNaija star Adekunle Olopade asked her a direct question about her relationship status while they were both on stage during the event.
Reacting playfully, Annie Macaulay did not give a direct yes-or-no answer but instead sparked curiosity with her response, saying:
“He’s a fine young man, though. I’m not going to lie.”
Her comment immediately drew laughter and cheers from the audience, fueling speculation about what she may have meant by the statement.
The actress further disclosed that she had previously come across some of Adekunle’s online antics, prompting the reality TV star to quickly defend himself on stage.
