Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, has unveiled new initiatives to intensify the fight against banditry, pledging to to co-operate with Trump to make the menace a thing of the past.
Aliyu said the new measures, which complement ongoing security efforts, aim to strengthen intelligence gathering and improve coordination with security agencies, noting that existing strategies were already yielding positive results.
He stressed that since assuming office, his administration had consistently supported security agencies with logistics and other critical resources to boost their operational capacity across the 13 local government areas affected by banditry.
