82 Division Army Band Lights Up CKP Enugu Christmas Carol (Photos, Video)

The Nigerian Army 82 Division Band delivered a remarkable performance at Christ the King Parish (CKP), GRA, Enugu, during the parish’s annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols held on Sunday, late December.

The event opened with a solemn candlelight procession led by the Army Band, moving from the church into the main arena. The band later joined voices with the Christ the King Parish Choir for the carol service, before thrilling the audience with a powerful solo musical performance that added elegance, colour, and grandeur to the celebration.

This year’s programme uniquely blended the traditional Carol of Nine Lessons with a Christmas Festival, alongside the official blessing of the parish’s newly completed baptistry. The blessing was performed by the Auxiliary Bishop of the Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Ernest Obodo.

Several notable personalities were in attendance, including the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, and the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Uche Ugwu.

In his Christmas message, Bishop Obodo spoke on the theme “The Role of Women in the Economy of Salvation,” emphasizing the central role of the Virgin Mary in God’s divine plan.

Footage from the 82 Division Army Band’s 2025 performance has since been circulated by local media outlets, including The Choice Flame Newspaper, drawing widespread admiration online. Many viewers have praised the band’s professionalism and musical excellence since the video surfaced.
