A young woman who is believed to be mentally unstable has murdered her mother in Enugu. The incident took place on Wednesday 3rd December, 2025 in the Ugboewerem area of Trans-Ekulu, Enugu-East Local Government Area of Enugu State, at about 4pm.
When interrogated on why she killed her mother, she claimed that her mother refused to give her lunch to eat, then she tied her legs and used a cutlass to strike her on the head.
Many Nigerians do not pay attention to mental health. I believe that this young woman must have been showing signs of mental instability, but the issue was probably ignored. Please let us take our mental health and that of people around us seriously. Not everyone you see on the street is okay upstairs. Many people dey kolo, but only few are roaming.
