Christian Genocide: ISWP Blasts Trump, Urges Muslims To Unite

The Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, has reportedly reacted to the recent threat by President Donald Trump to launch military action in Nigeria.

Trump, who had designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern, had also informed the US department of war to prepare for possible action in Nigeria over the alleged genocide against Christians in the country.

A security expert, Zagazola Makama said in a report he posted on his official X handle that the terrorist group reacted to Trump’s threat via a “propaganda message circulated on its usual communication channels”.

He said ISWAP in its message, described Trump as a “reckless American tyrant,” alleging that the US President was being influenced by “evangelical Christian and Jewish advisers” during his administration.

The group, according to Zagazola, claimed that Trump’s move signaled what it described as an attempt by the United States to project itself as a “global defender of Christians.”

He said the extremists also warned its fighters against the use of smart phones, urging them to avoid large gatherings and limit movement.

In the statement, the group called on Muslims in West Africa to “unite” and take the alleged US threat seriously, accusing the West of what it termed “crimes against African.
